Zayed University student visit

Tawfeeq Al Mubarak, EVP, SCS, ADPC welcoming Zayed University delegates

A group of nearly thirty Emirati students from Zayed University in Abu Dhabi has visited ADPC on what’s been described as a “highly successful” fact finding day.

The third and fourth year female undergraduates followed an intensive programme where they were given in-depth lectures about the day to day work of the company, and how it is playing a vital role in supporting the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.

A popular highlight proved to be the range of features on Khalifa Port and Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad), the industrial megaproject which opens later this year, in the last quarter. Insights also followed into future internship and job prospects at ADPC, which will strengthen the links between ADPC alumni staff and Zayed University itself.

Chairman of ADPC’s Tawteen (Emiratisation) committee, and EVP Strategy and Corporate Support, Tawfeeq Al Mubarak, praised the initiative: “I am so grateful for the efforts that ADPC is undertaking toward our nation’s entities – it is our duty and responsibility to be open, transparent and supportive. Cooperation with universities is very important: we need them to understand our mission, goals and operations.”

Zayed University Senior Career Counsellor and Education Co-ordinator, Andrea Naylor, praised ADPC’s team effort: “It was a valuable learning experience and

all of the ADPC staff had a really positive attitude. Our students commented that ADPC seemed to be a good place to work and is very serious about developing national graduates as highlighted in Mr Al Mubarak’s speech and reinforced in all of the small group sessions.”
