Trucking Firms Should Now Obtain Licences for Port Road Use from ADPC

ADPC in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, held a workshop for trucking companies to introduce a new licensing system and to inform companies about new requirements needed to obtain their licence to provide trucking services for Abu Dhabi Ports.

The licence, which permits trucking companies to use the roads serving ADPC ports, must be obtained from ADPC.

This was one of the messages covered at the workshop, where trucking companies also received a wide range of advice and guidance on safe and legal road use. For example, attendees were given information on the ban hours when commercial vehicles cannot be driven on the roads around ports, as well as which roads trucks should use and which to avoid.

“We held this session jointly with Abu Dhabi Police to provide important new information about obtaining licences from ADPC and to provide general information on how to be safe and legal,” said Captain Mohamed Al Shamisi, Executive Vice President – Ports. “I would like to thank the excellent support provided by the Abu Dhabi Police at our seminar and for their continued work in keeping roads around the ports safe and moving freely.” added Captain Shamisi.
