Moroccan delegation visits Khalifa Port

Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) welcomed a delegation of senior officials from the Moroccan Ministry of Transport and Logistics for a site visit to Khalifa Port in Taweelah on Sunday 31 August.

The high profile delegation, which comprised of the Minister of Transport, the Head of Foreign Affairs and the Moroccan Ambassador to Abu Dhabi, was given a tour through ADPC’s state-of-the-art facilities

The Moroccan guests were keen to learn more about the high tech infrastructure of the port, where they were given an overview of the many automated operations at its dedicated container terminal – the first semi-automated in the GCC region.

The delegation also learnt about the mutual relationship between Khalifa Port and the adjacent Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD), the current development status of the industrial zone and the diversification plans of the local economy, in line with Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030.
