Abu Dhabi’s Mina Zayed, operated by Abu Dhabi Terminals under a concession agreement from Abu Dhabi Ports Company, is reporting double digit growth for cargo handling in its latest figures. In the first quarter of the year, ADT report a growth of 10 % in the number of containers it handled, up to 177, 147 TEU units. The volume of shipments and cargo reached 1.45 million tonnes, up 16%. Ro-ro vehicles were up 20% to nearly 19,000. Cruise passenger numbers were also up by 8% to 107,000.
