Officials from Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi [Kizad] are participating in the Abu Dhabi Investment Seminar being held in Tokyo, Japan. The event is organized by the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME) and Bank of Tokyo – Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU) with the aim of introducing Abu Dhabi business opportunities to Japanese investors and businesses. Kizad was joined by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, promoting Abu Dhabi as the next best industrial investment destination, bringing Africa and the Middle East closer to Japan’s manufacturers.

Kizad CEO, Engineer Khaled Salmeen will be speaking at the seminar showcasing the Kizad advantage as well as participating in an open panel discussion with the attendees.

Japan is a strategic partner, especially since the UAE is the largest exporter to and second largest importer from Japan in the Middle East. Trade values between the two countries grew 76% to AED188.8bn (USD51.4bn) in the past 4 years and the overall imports value from Japan increased by 32% to AED31.6bn (USD8.6bn) in the same time period.

BTMU, the biggest bank in Japan, has recently encouraged and promoted Japanese investment into Abu Dhabi; not only in the financial arena but also in industrial manufacturing. JCCME and BTMU have invited and confirmed over 100 attendees to the seminar.
