AmCham delegation discusses business opportunities at Khalifa Port

ANNUAL VISIT IDENTIFIES INTERNATIONAL TRADE OPPORTUNITIES

Abu Dhabi Port welcomed more than 20 members of the American Chamber of Commerce, Abu Dhabi (also known as AmCham) to Khalifa Port and the adjacent Khalifa industrial zone on Sunday 19 April.

The party took a tour of the visitor center to understand exactly how closely integrated the two sites are and how they support each other to facilitate trade and development across the Emirate.

The AmCham visitors represented a wide range of national and international US companies based in the UAE, many of whom have some interaction with the ports business, either through import and export activities or as a result of the growing cruise business in Zayed Port.

The visit which involved senior managers from Abu Dhabi Ports is organised each year as part of a knowledge sharing and gathering process, whereby all of the parties attending have the chance to discuss new and potential business opportunities.

The following day, Abu Dhabi Ports Vice President Marketing & Communications Jameela Al Junaibi was a key speaker at an exclusive womens’ networking forum organised by AmCHam Abu Dhabi and Northrop Grumman.

The event featured a panel of leading academic and professional women, discussing women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), the power of innovation and the UAE.
