Officials from Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) have welcomed a delegation from the Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi. The delegates toured the Kizad Visitor Centre and visited Khalifa Port’s Terminal Operation Building (TOB), where they were given the opportunity to see the port’s cutting edge container yard and super Post-Panamax ship-to-shore quay cranes, some of the biggest and most modern in the world.
After the tour, Waleed Al Tamimi, VP – Asset Management, ADPC, delivered a presentation on ADPC’s strategic development plans demonstrating how these plans link directly to Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030. The presentation gave insights into the business advantages offered by Khalifa Port and the adjacent Kizad, offering optimum supply chain efficiencies and excellent market access to 4.5 billion people within four time zones.
