BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND INVESTMENT IN MARITIME ASSET WINS INDUSTRY AWARD
Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) has won the hotly contested Port of the Year award, for its work managing different cargo businesses and its work in stakeholder and partner alliances to develop maritime business potential.
The award was presented to ADPC CEO, Capt. Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi at The Maritime Standard Awards, which were held at The Atlantis, Dubai on Thursday 6 November.
Capt. Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi said: “This award is a great honour and recognizes the work ADPC is undertaking to actively drive trade and economy in the emirate, by delivering world class port services and developing the business potential of all of our maritime assets, particularly the Emirate’s flagship Khalifa Port”.
The Maritime Standard Awards ceremony was held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group, Chairman Dubai World. The award judges commended the award winners for their leadership position as industry players setting a benchmark for excellence in their specific field.
ADPC is also shortlisted in three categories – the awards for Maritime Services, Port Operator and Training – at the forthcoming Lloyd’s List Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Awards.
