Mohamed Al Shamisi, Acting CEO ADPC commented:

“Khalifa Port has been fully commercially operational since 1 September 2012. There has always been a solid plan for any issues or crises, but as the ports’ operational activities grow, so our requirements change and the number of organizations involved in any response or planning changes.

“Led by our Crisis Management Team, today has been a valuable exercise to comprehensively rehearse and plan for any eventuality. Health, safety and Environment is ADPC’s top priority in all activities, this exercise has given us the chance to identify any potential risks and to work together to ensure a rapid, comprehensive and effective crisis management should an incident ever happen.”
