Capt. Shamisi Acting CEO, ADPC and senior officials from the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic officially launched ADPC’s ‘Be aware & drive with care’ campaign on Sunday 26 May 2013.
The campaign which will run for the whole of this week is targeting truck drivers who drive through Khalifa Port and Kizad industrial zone and their respective fleet management companies.
‘Be aware & drive with care’ aims to raise awareness of the safety regulations for driving in, and beyond, ADPCs ports. The truck drivers taking part this morning could watch videos showing best practice examples and examples of how to deal with problem scenarios. The presentations were being given in English, Urdu, Pashto and Arabic, afterwards the drivers had the opportunity to experience difficult driving conditions including a car rolling over in one simulator and the importance of seatbelts in a collision in another.
