ADPC honoured at Joint Business Group Event

CANADIAN BUSINESS COUNCIL (CBC) HOSTS A DINNER IN CONJUNCTION WITH FIVE OF THE UAE CAPITAL’S LARGEST BUSINESS ASSOCIATIONS.

The Canadian Business Council (CBC) hosted a Joint Business Group Dinner in honour of the Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) at the Hilton Hotel, Abu Dhabi. The event was attended by the some of the UAE capital’s leading business associations such as the British Business Group, the French Business Group, the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce, the Lebanese Business Council, and the Swiss Business Council.

The dinner attracted more than 300 guests, including H.E the British Ambassador and representatives from the French and Lebanese Embassies, with leading business members and decision makers in the UAE. They were given insights into the fundamental role that ADPC plays in driving long term sustainability and growth of the economy, especially as regards the Emirate’s largest infrastructure project, Kizad (Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi).

ADPC’s CEO Tony Douglas opened the proceedings : “I would like to thank all our attendees, specifically CBC, for organizing an event that allows ADPC to showcase its ability to drive economic diversification and to generate unimaginable business opportunity, growth and investment through the development of key industrial zones like Kizad.”

Executive Vice President of Kizad, Khaled Salmeen commented:“The opportunity for Abu Dhabi’s business associations to recognize what Kizad uniquely offers will prove to be integral in spurring investment from within the UAE and fundamentally from around the world.”

Remarking on the success of the occasion, Jack Matar, Director of CBC, commented: “We are honoured to host this dinner event with the presence of the Abu Dhabi Ports Company. Our aim at CBC is to network with not only the other business associations in the UAE, but also companies that are actively participating in shaping the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.”
