Abu Dhabi Ports seeks Emirati talent at UK-UAE forum

For the second consecutive year, Abu Dhabi Ports took part in the UAE-UK Pioneers Forum which was held on 7 February at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London.

Initiated by the United Arab Emirates Embassy in London, the UAE-UK Pioneers Forum gave Emirati students studying in the UK and EU a chance to interact with business leaders from the UAE to gain an understanding of the opportunities awaiting students who have studied abroad and the skills which are most highly valued by UAE employers.

As a master developer, manager and operator of all of the non-oil and –gas ports in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Ports took part in the forum as an opportunity to meet young Emirati students and to present the exciting career development opportunities across the growing UAE maritime industry.

Empowering UAE Nationals and supporting them in their career aspirations is a key business strategy for Abu Dhabi Ports and a main pillar of the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030. Events like the UAE UK Pioneers Forum offer Abu Dhabi Ports the chance to attract new upcoming Emirati talent and to increase the number of UAE Nationals among its employees.

Abu Dhabi Ports is committed to the UAE’s Emiratisation policy and reached a level of 44% in 2014 across all of its operating entities. The company has several programmes underway which specifically target UAE Nationals, and intends to reach 47% Emiratisaton by the end of 2015.
