Abu Dhabi Ports’ green practices presented at International Water Summit 2016

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the International Water Summit (IWS) took place from January 18 to 21 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

Abu Dhabi Ports, the master developer, operator and manager of ports and Khalifa Industrial Zone in the Emirate, participated in the event, the leading global meeting point for showcasing and developing solutions for water sustainability in arid regions.

As the maritime trade business enabler in the Emirate, Abu Dhabi Ports has adopted ‘sustainable business practices’ that support environmental conservation. The representatives of Abu Dhabi Ports presented these ‘green practices’ to the visitors on the company’s exhibition stand. They also presented the integrated offerings and services of Khalifa Port, Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad), Marine Services, Maqta Gateway (Port Community System), Abu Dhabi Terminals (ADT), and Zayed Port.

The IWS was hosted by Masdar, along with the World Future Energy Summit, as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. The four-day event brought together world leaders, field experts, academia luminaries, and business innovators to accelerate the development of new sustainable strategies and technologies.
