Over the next six months, Mugharrag Port in the Western Region is being re-developed.
Tony Douglas, CEO, ADPC, has signed a formal agreement with the winning bidder’s Area Manager, Haris Giatsos, from Athena Emirates.
The work will deliver improved gate and entrance security and will provide better facilities to ferries sailing between Delma island and the mainland. Fendering will be improved on the port’s sea walls. Smaller landing craft will also be provided with a new ramp.
Waleed Al Tamimi, VP, Project Development, ADPC, says: “The new upgrade will boost facilities for local people, especially ferry users. It’s a sign of ADPC’s strong commitment to helping support Western Region communities.”
