MORE THAN 40 FEMALE STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT PORT FACILITIES
Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) welcomed a group of UAE University students, yesterday, March 17, 2014.
More than 40 female students who were keen to increase their understanding of the maritime industry were shown around Khalifa Port and the Kizad Vistor Center. The tour highlighted Khalifa Port’s importance as a key logistics hub for the GCC. Moreover, the students learnt about the Port’s facilities and services, and the sites phased expansion plans in line with market demands, emphasizing the major contribution of this mega-project to the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.
First of all, the students and their teachers toured the Kizad Visitor Center, where they learnt about the industrial zone, whose tenants will be both importing and exporting through the port. Then they moved to Khalifa Port itself, to visit the documentation center, container terminal, the Container Freight Station and other important sites.
