After signing the 30 year Musataha agreement with Kizad, PAT ME has now laid the foundation for its One Pack Systems (OPS) manufacturing plant which will be located in the industrial zone within the dedicated mixed use cluster covering an area of 197,424 square feet.
The plant, which is expected to be finalized by 2014, will focus on the production of polymer stabilizers called Songnox One Pack Systems. The facility will have an initial capacity of 7,000 tonnes per year with expansion options to be implemented as per industry demand.
The “One Pack System” solution is a multicomponent, tailor made blend of additives in a pelletized form. When producing plastics, which are polymerized products, additives are critical components ensuring that the products achieve important characteristics such as ease of processing, UV resistance and protection against heat degradation.
Commenting on the planned OPS manufacturing facility, Engineer Khaled Salmeen, CEO and Managing Director of Kizad, said:
