Two luxury ocean liners, the Royal Caribbean’s ‘Serenade of the Seas’ and Holland America’s ‘Rotterdam’, have been received in Mina Zayed.
The ships made their maiden calls in Abu Dhabi before heading to Dubai.
The arrivals follow the notable first-time visit of the world’s most expensive cruise ship, The Queen Mary 2, to the capital last week.
Commenting on the latest high-profile arrivals, Capt. Mohamed Al Shamisi, Executive Vice President, Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) said: “This underlines the company’s continued commitment to support the growth of the cruise liner business, into the UAE capital – in line with the government’s Abu Dhabi 2030 plan, which sees tourism as a significant driver and contributor to the emirate’s future, non-oil, GDP.”
