The delegation was received at Kizad by Engineer Khaled Salmeen, CEO of Kizad who gave a thorough presentation of the industrial zone, the clusters, the operations and the overall mutual benefits it shares with Khalifa Port. Engineer Salmeen then shared Kizad’s corporate presentation with the delegation via a high tech media table that highlighted the size of the industrial zone as well as the master plan.
The objective of the Kenyan delegation visit was to gather information and best practice that will be used in preparation plans for the establishment of a new Kenyan economic zone.
While at Kizad, senior officials discussed the investment environment in Abu Dhabi, Kizad’s strategic geographical location to local and regional markets including Africa. Kizad’s role in achieving the vision of Abu Dhabi 2030 as well as the Industrial zones’ infrastructure and ease of doing business and approach to customer service were also discussed with specific highlight on the implementation phases of a project this size, from planning to operation phases for both Kizad and Khalifa Port.
The delegation was then invited for refreshments before making their way to Khalifa Port where they had a tour of the port’s operations and high-tech facilities.
