Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) welcomed Kuwait’s “Journey of Hope” boat yesterday at Abu Dhabi’s Free Port. The boat, which started its world tour on 1st May from Marine Crescent, Salmiya, Kuwait, will be staying until Friday, 9th May, before heading towards Washington D.C.
The “Journey of Hope” is an initiative of the Kuwait government and aims to raise worldwide awareness of mentally disabled people and their special needs. The initiative aims to unite all cultures and religions in a collective effort to help and support those with mental disabilities.
On its way to the Unites States, the boat will stop at 22 ports of call in 19 countries, including Oman, Yemen, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Greece, Malta, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Spain, France and Great Britain.
