ADPC recruits 50 Emiratis in 2012
ADPC Tawteen programme, part of Abu Dhabi’s broader Emiratisation commitment, has just achieved a major milestone with the hiring of the 50th UAE national this year.
This is the latest achievement in a long term strategy to boost the number of talented, motivated and driven UAE nationals working at the company.
Talal Bin Eid, Emiratisation Manager, ADPC, says: “This is great news for ADPC and for Abu Dhabi, reiterating our role in employing outstanding Emirati talent that will help power the company and the nation forward.”
ADPC has a carefully managed approach to creating careers for Emirati people. It starts with a rigorous recruitment process, selecting the most talented individuals with the right experience and attitude.
ADPC also provides a programme of specially created training for all employees, providing them with a roadmap to develop the right skills in their chosen career discipline. This training programme, called the ADPC Way, ensures skills are developed to a consistent level across the entire business.
Talal Bin Eid added: “Since the commencement of commercial operations at Khalifa Port on 1st September, we have had many people applying to us for employment. People see us as part of a dynamic, exciting industry that is a major contributor to the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, and therefore seek to join our historic and key national organisation.”
ADPC’s target for Emirati employees in 2012 is 35 per cent. With the latest burst of applications and this year’s 50 new recruits, the company is well on its way to achieving its goal.
