Abu Dhabi Ports, the operator and manager of commercial and community ports within the emirate of Abu Dhabi as well as Fujairah Terminals and KIZAD, announced the winners of the 3rd cycle of its internal excellence award, “MAFNOOD”. The award ceremony, which was held in Abu Dhabi, was attended by the company’s employees, management team and representatives from several government entities and strategic partners.
The MAFNOOD award programme is aligned with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to establish bi-annual internal awards across Abu Dhabi’s government entities. The internal awards aim to support the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance (ADAEP).
In addition, the MAFNOOD award is intended to promote a culture of sustainable performance that ensures continuous development across employee performance, services and business units. The latest edition of MAFNOOD witnessed a 17% increase in participation with more than 90 participants across four different categories representing “Individuals”, “Services”, “Excellence Teams” as well as “Units and Divisions”.
In his speech at the ceremony, Capt. Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, the CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports, congratulated participants and acknowledged the accomplishments achieved by Abu Dhabi Ports as a result of its employees’ commitment to excellence.
He said: “MAFNOOD is more than an internal excellence award; it embodies our commitment to support the UAE’s sustainable economic diversification and growth to progress its innovation agenda. Through initiatives such as ADAEP and our internal awards, the Abu Dhabi Executive Council has provided us with an opportunity to develop competitiveness across governmental entities.”
