Development Works Control
Abu Dhabi Ports issues authorisation, in the form or a permit or licence, for development works on port land or waters within its jurisdiction. This is necessary to ensure that the proposed works are consistent with the development control policies and standards adopted by Abu Dhabi Ports which, in view of the nature of port operations, may not be addressed in the policies and standards of other approval bodies.
For development works beyond Abu Dhabi Ports' jurisdiction, the relevant approval body will normally require the developer to obtain a ‘No Objection Certificate’ (‘NOC’) from Abu Dhabi Ports. This is used to reflect conditions Abu Dhabi Ports may wish to see applied to a development to minimise its potential impact on port safety or operations.
An Abu Dhabi Ports NOC may also be requested for development works on port land or waters where these also require consent from another approval body. NOC Rates & Conditions
