ADPC attends UAE – UK Pioneers Forum
LONDON JOB FAIR PROMOTES EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN THE UAE
In its continuous endeavor to foster Emirati talent, ADPC has participated in the first ever UAE – UK Pioneers Forum in London.
The forum, which was initiated by the UAE Embassy in London and organized in partnership with Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and British Petroleum (BP), took place over the course of three days, from 17 – 19 January.
During this time, both Emirati and British students were given the chance to interact with senior business leaders and check out the many employment opportunities in the UAE.
“ADPC is strongly committed to the development of UAE Nationals. The forum provided a fantastic platform to get in touch with Emirati graduates who have an internationally accredited degree and foreign country experience – both excellent prerequisites to join the UAE’s multinational business sector”, said Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, CEO, ADPC.
Alongside the job fair, the forum also invited students to participate in numerous workshops and symposiums, covering subjects such as “Nation Building: Work in progress, a UAE case study”,“Becoming a leader in the UAE” and “The new era of media”.
The forum’s speakers comprised of some of the UAE’s highest ranking industry experts, including key note speaker H.E. Noura Al Kaabi, CEO of Abu Dhabi’s twofour54 and member of the UAE’s Federal National Council.
Other speakers included AbdulKarim Al Mazmi, General Manager and Chief Representative for BP UAE, Ali Al Jarwan, CEO of ADNOC-ADMA, Dr. Abdulla Eissa Zamzam, Assistant Secretary General, Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, and H.E. Abdulrahman Ghanem Almutaiwee, UAE Ambassador to the UK.
As part of its mandate to follow Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030, ADPC has put a particular focus on the support of UAE Nationals by offering comprehensive development and training across a wide range of career areas. One of the company’s many initiatives is “The ADPC Way”, which offers tailor-made supervised programs for Emiratis to progress professionally and climb up the career ladder.
ADPC is also a strong supporter of the Absher initiative which has been introduced by the Ministry of Presidential Affairs (MOPA) and focusses on creating opportunities for unemployed UAE Nationals across the UAE. ADPC has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with MOPA to recruit 300 unemployed UAE Nationals over the next few years.
